Business excellence award goes to CO-RO

CO-RO is now Best Managed Company 2019, an award presented by Deloitte in recognition of an overall business success, including in strategy, finance, innovation and human resources.

A unanimous jury has singled out CO-RO for the award “Best Managed Company 2019” under a Deloitte programme promoting the success and achievements of Danish mid-sized companies.

The international stamp of quality underpins that CO-RO has obtained particularly productive results in the fields of strategy, finance, innovation and human resources; all areas being equally vital for business excellence.

No resting on laurels

Annette Kobberup Executive Vice President, Global HR, attended the award ceremony in Copenhagen and received the prize on behalf of CO-RO.

“We are delighted to be winning the Best Managed Company Award and pleased to be among the first-ever companies in Denmark to receive this award from Deloitte. Without the hard work and dedication from our 1,200 employees worldwide, we would not stand here today. We cannot be complacent, however, and will certainly continue the path of success.”

Success based on vision and strategy

Deloitte and an independent jury representing Copenhagen Business School and the venture capital firm Axcel, respectively, have scrutinised and selected the eight winning Danish based companies.

The jury has awarded the prize for Best Managed Company 2019 to CO-RO based on an overall assessment. Among the grounds for the award are CO-RO’s results in anchoring vision and strategy in daily operations, defining clear KPIs and prioritising innovation and making adequate investments. Other key areas comprise a strong corporate culture and credible financial risk management.

While it is the first time that Deloitte runs The Best Managed Company programme in Denmark, the global initiative has been a success for more than 25 years in other countries, including Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden. Deloitte reports that companies tend to perform even better after having participated in the programme.
