02 Oct 2026 Inhouse Legal Counsel Do you want to be the trusted legal counsel in an international company where you can make a real impact and grow with the role? Since our current legal counsel is retiring, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Global Finance & IT function at CO-RO. Based at our headquarters in Frederikssund, you will act as the company’s primary in-house legal counsel and provide practical, business-oriented legal support across a broad range of legal matters. As our Legal Counsel, you will be the only employed legal professional in the organization. However, you will work closely with external law firms and specialized advisors who support CO-RO when needed. This gives you a unique opportunity to take ownership of legal matters while leveraging external expertise in more specialized areas. Being a part of our Global IT & Finance team, you will report directly to the CFO and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, business managers and international colleagues. Your key responsibilities You will support the business across a broad spectrum of legal disciplines, including: Providing legal guidance on compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies. Supporting and coordinating commercial agreements and other corporate legal matters. Advising stakeholders on legal risks and practical business solutions. Supporting the review and drafting of commercial contracts and legal documents. Coordinating legal matters with external counsel when required. Supporting litigation and dispute-related matters together with external advisors. Monitoring legal developments and advising the business on potential impacts. Maintaining legal policies, procedures and governance documentation. Supporting trademark and intellectual property matters, including registrations, renewals and collaboration with external specialists. Maintaining legal records and document archives across the Group. What we are looking for We are looking for an independent and business-oriented legal professional who enjoys working close to the business and taking responsibility for a broad legal agenda. To succeed in this role, you bring: A Master of Laws degree (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.). Minimum 5-8 years of relevant legal experience. Experience from an international company, a law firm, or a combination of both. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. The ability to translate legal complexity into practical business advice. Experience with commercial contracts and corporate legal matters. Knowledge of trademark and intellectual property law and processes. You do not need to be an IP specialist. However, it is important that you have a solid understanding of trademark and IP fundamentals and are comfortable coordinating matters with external experts and advisors when required. Who you are You enjoy being close to the business and are comfortable acting as the organisation’s primary internal legal counsel. You combine sound legal judgement with a practical and collaborative approach. You are: Self-driven, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility. Structured, process-oriented and attentive to documentation and follow-up. Curious, adaptable and motivated to continue developing your legal breadth and expertise. A strong relationship builder who can communicate clearly across functions, cultures and organisational levels. Pragmatic and solution-oriented, with the confidence to ask for specialist support when needed. A collaborative colleague with professional ambition and a positive sense of humour. Why join CO-RO? This role offers broad legal exposure, direct access to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to influence how legal support is delivered across the organisation. You will have meaningful responsibility from the outset, supported by external legal specialists when needed, and room to grow with the role as your experience and the business develop. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Counsel who is ready to take the next step and become a trusted legal counsel in a global company. 02 Oct 2026 Interested in joining CO-RO?
